Miserable Weekend + Movie Night

These last few days has been pretty miserable for me. From the one and only one summer class that I took right now, we are assigned with a take home test. The time line provided to us to complete this test is only about 3 days.

On Friday, when I first looked at the paper, I was like "what-the-hell is this??". Since then, I have forced myself to read through stacks and stacks of papers. It's truly unbelievable how many topics that we have covered in only 2 weeks!!! *sigh* See how thick the papers that I have to go through!! =="

This paper-reading activity, staring at my computer screen with a blank mind not knowing what else to type, and trying not getting distracted by any other things was going on pretty much for the entire weekend and even for the Monday morning. During all this time, I also keep listening to classical music, the "Symphony 40 - Molto Allegro ". Actually just a couple of days ago I heard this song in my friend's car, Sena. Somehow it helps me on concentrating while others were watching movies and playing games. LOL.. On Monday morning, I didn't even have the spirit to finish up the paper. I ended up just typing whatever I could think off related to the question and uploaded it at noon. After all of this, now it becomes more obvious that I am not that good in answering conceptual questions!!! =="

To end the miserable days and relax from stress a little bit, we went to watch "Inception" right after my class was over. I have read news about this movie and even my friend in Indonesia, Ghia, said that this movie received a really high rating, like 9 out of 10.

The synopsis of the movie is the following:

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Everything in this movie is almost perfect. It has been a while since I watched a movie this good. This is not the kind of movie that you just need to sit there and watch. The audience need to think about what actually is happening and we also indulged in the world described in the movie. Even after finished watching it, people can keep discussing about what actually happened to the actors. The ending of the movie itself kind of left as open ended. I really think it is a very brilliant of the director to do this. =D I really recommend this movie!!! Ending the night watching this movie was well worthed. ^_____^
