AC & French Fries

Just yesterday, my suffering didn't just end with my sickness. The air conditioner in my apartment didn't work at all. It still blew some air but it was not a cold one. =((( Even when I went outside on the shade, IT'S EVEN COLDER THAN MY APARTMENT!!! haiss.... Tommy went to look for the apartment's maintenance for repairing the AC, but came back with the news that the graduate assistance had been looking for ways to fix this problem too. Apparently, the entire apartment block's ACs didn't work at all. The other alternative was to hide at my friend's apartment (Sena's). HAHA..

At his apartment, Sena was turning on the TV watching the food channel. One very simple recipe that I want to share is how to make french fries. It's amazingly simple that it shouldn't be hard to try at all. =)

FRENCH FRIES
  • Potato: Golden Yukon
  • Oil: Peanut oil
Cooking instruction:
  1. Cut four sides of the potato slightly to provide flat surfaces
  2. Cut the potato quarter inch on all sides
  3. Put all the cut potato in cold oil
  4. Fill the pan oil just slightly over the potato
  5. Optional: bacon flavoring
  6. Start heating up the pan
  7. Wait until the oil entirely bubbles up
  8. Wait another 15 minutes before starting to stir it up
  9. Still the potato and make sure the potatoes do not stick on the bottom of the pan
  10. Cook until the color turns golden (about 10 minutes)
  11. Remove all the fries and put them on the top of paper towel to drain some of the oil
  12. Put salt on the top
  13. READY TO EAT!! =)))

I really want to try to cook this, but with my current condition, I don't think I will be able to do it at least in a couple of weeks. haha.. Later that day, we decided to stay over in his house. The only thing I did that day was sleeping, eating and taking some medicines. Surprisingly, I didn't eat that much and was not that hungry anyway. The only reason I ate was for taking the medicine.

Today, when Tommy went back to our apartment, he said that the AC is a lot better now. So probably we will be able to get back tonight. =D
